The IOS and Android games dominate the U.S. market

Represent 58% of the market for games on mobile devices.

According to the latest survey by the NPD Group and Flurry consulting, sales of games for mobile devices in IOS and Android already account for 58 percent of the market for mobile gaming in the U.S. market.

This increase in sales of mobile games is surprising considering that just two years this market accounted for 19 percent of the laptop industry, amounting to 34 percent in 2010. Logically, these data have affected the hegemony that previously held Nintendo, Sony and to a lesser extent, with its portable Nintendo DS and PSP.

For Nintendo, this domain has been reduced from 70 percent in 2009 to 36 percent in 2011. In the case of Sony, has risen from 11 percent of market share to 6 percent today. And so does your income, which rose from 2,200 million dollars in 2009, to 1,400 this year obtained.
